Holy Cross/IHM Youth Ministry is Proud to Announce Our First In-person Event in Six Months!
Holy Cross/IHM Youth Ministry presents an outdoor Catholic Cookout. Food will be provided INCLUDING FREE CALICHE’S FROZEN CUSTARD! The cookout will take place in the central lawn of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral between the church and the old school. We will start with food at 4 pm and end the night around 6:30 pm.
In order to ensure a safe environment for all, social distancing and masks will be required. There will be masks available for those who do not have one at the event. Masks must be worn at all times except while eating food outside.
In addition to free food, we will have fun outdoor activities for teens to participate in. Then, we will have a presentation titled “Why Catholic?” about the beauty of the Catholic faith and why we choose to be Catholic. This will be held inside of Finley Hall with appropriately spaced chairs and will be the only portion held indoors.
At the end of the night, we will have a very special opportunity to have a Q&A session with both Father Bill from IHM and Father Richard from Holy Cross. Please e-mail any questions you’d like to ask them about the Catholic Faith to Michael Brink at mbrink@hcclc.org. If possible, please submit all questions by Thursday September 24th to allow time to prepare.
All questions will be presented anonymously, but we may not be able to answer all questions submitted. (Any questions not answered at the Q&A will be answered at subsequent youth ministry meetings).
All 9th-12th graders are welcome! This is a perfect opportunity for newcomers to see what our youth ministry does on a weekly basis (minus the cook out of course!). Bring your friends to make it more fun!
